Do you have a passion for sports and fitness, enjoy being active and want a fast-paced career? Are you curious about how the body works? Exercise Science prepares students for careers in fitness and health promotion, strength and conditioning, and wellness programs. Explore the world of exercise science through the hands-on COMPASS program. Students will learn from º¬Ðß²ÝÑо¿Ëù faculty and industry experts about our bodies’ functionality, fitness assessments, and careers in the field.

  • 10:15 a.m.-12 p.m.: Session 2 – Pre-Exercise Health ScreeningÌýÌý
  • 12-1 p.m.: LunchÌýÌý
  • 1:15-2:45 p.m.: Session 3 – Aerobic Fitness at Black Mountain Campus
  • 2:45-3 p.m.: BreakÌýÌý
  • 3-4:30 p.m.: Session 4 – 1 Mile Run TestÌýÌý
  • 4:30-5:30 p.m.: Free TimeÌýÌý
  • 5:30-6:30 p.m.: Dinner
  • 10 p.m.: Lights Out

Where You'll Stay

COMPASS attendees will stay in either Anderson Residence Hall or Howerton Residence Hall. Most rooms include two twin beds, two dressers, two desks, two chairs, two closets, one or two bookcases, and a private or shared restroom.
