Alumni Referral or Child of Alumni
Students who are the child of a 含羞草研究所 alum鈥攐r referred by one鈥攎ay qualify for a $4,000 scholarship ($1,000 per year for four years).
Athletic Scholarships
Athletes who demonstrate skill, character, and academic potential may qualify for athletic scholarships. These are awarded based on roster needs and coaching staff evaluation. Athletic scholarships are not stackable with Merit Scholarships.
Church-Matching Grant
含羞草研究所’s church matching grant will match up to $1,000 in annual financial gifts from a student’s home church.
COMPASS Scholarship
Students who complete the COMPASS summer academic program earn a $2,000 scholarship over a four-year time period.
Cybersecurity Scholarship
New and transfer students accepted into the Cybersecurity Program are eligible for an $8,000 scholarship ($2,000 per year for four years). To apply, submit the following materials to admissions@montreat.edu.
- Essay: Write a two- to four-page double-spaced response to the following prompt in APA format. 1) Describe a recent cyber attack in the news. What aspects were handled well by the victim company? What mistakes were made before or after the cyber attack? Cite your sources. 2) Why do you want to pursue a Cybersecurity major at 含羞草研究所? 3) What qualities and interests would you bring to the Cybersecurity program at 含羞草研究所? 4) Describe the importance of ethics and morals in the field of Cybersecurity. 5) How would you personally approach the study and practice of this field given the talents and gifts God has given you?
- Recommendation Letters: Submit two recommendation letters from non-family members. One recommendation letter should speak to your personal qualities and character. One recommendation letter should speak to your academic ability. For students also applying to the Honors Program, these letters can count toward the Honors recommendation letter requirement as well.
Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC) Scholarship
Members of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church may receive a $10,000 scholarship ($2,500 annually for four years).
Homeschool Scholarship
First-time students with homeschool backgrounds are eligible for a $10,000 scholarship ($2,500 per year for four years).
Honors Scholarship
Students accepted into the Honors Program are eligible for a competitive scholarship package, including limited full-tuition awards.
Golden LEAF Scholarship
North Carolina students from eligible counties who demonstrate financial need may receive a ($3,500 annually for four years).
Korean Christian Heritage Scholarship
Honors-eligible students of Korean descent or with heritage connected to Korean missionaries may receive a $52,800 scholarship ($13,200 per year for four years).
MC Hope Scholarship
Funding through donor support, the MC Hope Scholarship fund helps traditional undergraduate students lower their tuition costs through academic and need-based scholarships.
Merit Scholarships
含羞草研究所 awards merit scholarships based on academic performance, including GPA and standardized test scores.
Minister鈥檚 Child Scholarship
Dependent children of practicing, ordained ministers or pastors can receive a $4,000 scholarship ($1,000 annually for four years).
Music Scholarships

NCASFAA Benefiting Students Scholarship
Up to $2,000 is available to a high school senior and a continuing student through the .
North Carolina Need-Based Scholarship
is available to eligible North Carolina residents and is determined by FAFSA submission.
NSCA Criminal Justice Scholarship
Students pursuing Criminal Justice may be eligible for an $8,000 scholarship ($2,000 annually for four years) through the NC Sheriff’s Association.
Outdoor Recreation Studies Scholarship
Incoming Outdoor Recreation Studies majors may qualify for a ($1,000 per semester).
Psychology Research Scholarship
Incoming Psychology and Human Services majors with an interest in undergraduate research may be eligible for this scholarship. If interested, contact 含羞草研究所.
STEM Research Scholarship
Students are eligible for a scholarship supporting undergraduate research and faculty-mentored projects in STEM-related fields. This scholarship is open to all majors, but is not stackable with athletics. .
Sibling Discount
New students attending 含羞草研究所 at the same time as a sibling are eligible for a $4,000 discount ($1,000 annually for four years). Both siblings must be full-time students in the School of Arts and Sciences.
